How VTL collects, uses and protects your data.
VTL collects the minimum data necessary to operate. We do not sell your data, run ads, or share anything with third parties beyond what is required to provide the service. The main things collected are your Discord User ID (for license verification and launch logging) and standard web analytics by Cloudflare (which we do not directly control).
License Verification. When you log in to the VTL website or loader, your Discord User ID and a session token are used to verify your premium access. This is stored in your browser's localStorage and checked against our Cloudflare Worker backend.
Discord RPC Launch Logging. When you launch VTL with Discord RPC enabled, the following is sent to a private Cloudflare Worker and forwarded to a private Discord webhook:
This data is used only to notify the VTL owner and is not stored in a database.
Public Profiles (optional). If you turn on your public profile in the dashboard, anyone with the link (vexqyq.com/u/yourname) can see your username, profile picture, bio, badges, join month, favorite mods and the links you add. It is off by default and never shows your email or Discord ID. Search engines such as Google can list a public profile unless you untick "Let search engines like Google list my page" in the dashboard. While a page is not public, only you (as a preview) and the site owner (for moderation) can open it. You can turn the page off at any time, which removes it immediately (a search engine may keep an old copy for a while until it refreshes).
Loader Crash Reports. If the VTL loader itself breaks (for example an unhandled error or a failed injection), it sends the error text to a private Cloudflare Worker, which posts it to a private staff channel so the problem can be fixed. A report contains the loader version, the error message with file paths shortened, your Windows version, whether the game was running, and a short one-way hash of your hardware ID that only groups repeat reports. It never contains your key, login token, username or hardware ID. Identical errors are stored once with a counter and deleted after 30 days. To turn this off, create an empty file named .vtl_no_crash_reports in your Windows user folder.
Discord Support Tickets. When you open a support ticket in the VTL Discord, the following is visible to VTL staff within Discord: your Discord username/user ID and messages sent inside the ticket channel. Ticket channels are deleted after closing.
Website & Cloudflare Analytics. The VTL website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare automatically collects standard web telemetry including anonymized IP address, browser type, pages visited, and referring URL. This is handled by Cloudflare under their Privacy Policy.
Cloudflare Turnstile. VTL uses Cloudflare Turnstile on the login page to prevent automated bot access. Turnstile may collect browser/device signals and interaction patterns. Data is processed by Cloudflare and is not stored by VTL.
VTL does not operate any independent database or server outside of Cloudflare's platform.
VTL uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:
VTL does not sell, trade, or share your personal data with any third party beyond the above for the stated purposes.
You have the right to:
The VTL loader writes a small number of local files to your computer for operational purposes:
No data from these local files is transmitted to VTL servers.
VTL takes reasonable steps to protect your data including:
No system is perfectly secure. VTL cannot guarantee absolute security and is not liable for unauthorized access resulting from circumstances beyond our control.
VTL does not knowingly collect personal data from users under 13 years of age. If you believe a minor has provided personal data to VTL, contact us via Discord and we will remove it promptly.
VTL is operated on an individual basis and is not a registered business entity. Cloudflare infrastructure is globally distributed. By using VTL you consent to your data being processed in accordance with this policy regardless of your location.
VTL sets a small number of first-party cookies. They are strictly functional: none of them are used for advertising, analytics, profiling, or tracking you across other sites, and none are shared with third parties.
Your session token and interface preferences are still kept in your browser's localStorage rather than in a cookie, so they are not transmitted automatically with every request.
You can change your choice at any time by reopening the cookie notice, or clear these cookies from your browser settings. Declining does not limit access to the site.
Cloudflare may set its own cookies as part of its infrastructure (e.g., for bot protection and performance). These are governed by Cloudflare's privacy policy.
This Privacy Policy may be updated at any time without prior notice. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of VTL after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
For any privacy-related questions or data deletion requests, contact us via the VTL Discord server. Open a support ticket and a staff member will assist you.
